Emma is 8!

Nick and Emma are getting so excited for Christmas! Emma just celebrated her 8th birthday on the 21st. I can't believe she is 8! I will attach pictures from her family party when I get them loaded. Kevin and I spent a few days in Texas with Premier Designs. We got to see the manufacturing company, the main company, and got to hear some awesome speakers. It was a great little getaway for us. Here are 3 Christmas pictures of Emma and Nick. God Bless Everyone. Have a wonderful CHRISTmas!

Thanksgiving

We have a lot to be thankful for this year! We have been blessed in so many ways. First, we are thankful for good health. Nick and Emma have been relatively healthy in 2008! Second, we have been blessed by the generosity of others. In March, Emma was granted a wish through the "Make a Wish" Foundation to go to Disney World. It was an unbelivable experience for everyone involved. Nothing makes me more happy that to see my duaghter smile and be so happy and worry free. Disney World treated her like a Princess! Third, recently we have been given a very large monetary gift to help Emma and Nick with some of their needs. To make a long story short, with the closing of New Life Community Church (our church for many years), the sale of the property generated enough money to bless many missionaries, christian organizations and our family. In the near future, we will be looking at purchasing an assessible van, with more space that the one we currently own, and also look into making an accessible bathroom in our home for Emma and Nick. We are so thankful for the people who made the decision to help our family. It is a huge blessing that will help us in so many ways! 2008 has been a great year, and we look forward to 2009! God bless you and you your family!

Halloween

For Halloween this year Nick was a fireman in a firetruck which was made by Tom Marshall. Emma was Hannah Montana. We had a skating party with the SMA group, went trick or treating at East Fork Lake with Aunt Angie and Uncle Tim's camping group and trick or treated in our neighborhood.

North Carolina

Our family went on a week vacation over the summer to Avon North Carolina with the Uhlenbrock side of the family. We had over 30 people and had an awesome time. We played on the beach, went fishing on a scary pier, made t-shirts at the light house and had a pirate treasure hunt!

Our house which was accessible for Emma and Nick and had awesome views.

Nick and Uncle Tim fishing. Nick is not a very patient fisherman.

Kevin and Emma fishing. Emma was working on a fishing badge for American Heritage Girls and Uncle Tim and Kevin were a big help.

Everyone who went with us!

Emma and her best friend on the trip Malynn. We miss you and your help!

This is our treasure that we found on our Blackbeard treasure hunt.

Emma's Make A Wish

These are pictures from Emma's Make A Wish trip to Disney World last March. We stayed at a kids village, called "Give Kids The World." Words can't even describe how neat of a place this is. Several times through the week, Disney characters would come to "Give Kids The World" and visit!

This is Emma wearing a poncho at the "Shamu" show at Sea World. She was hoping to get wet, but never did.

This is Mayor Clayton of "Give Kids The World" and his lovely wife. The mayor tucked the kids in bed the last night of our visit!

Petting the dolphins was a cool experience! We got to feed the dolphins fish too!

Emma's cousin Christopher was in Disney World the same week, so Emma and Nick got to hang out with Christopher and Grace.

Emma was dressed as a princess. She went to the Bippity Bobbity Boutique at the castle and had an extreme makeover with make-up, hair, nails, dress and shoes!

Emma's favorite movie is High School Musical. This show we saw at Hollywood Studios was one of Emma's favorite events.

Princess Emma

Nick loved the "Finding Nemo" ride. By the way.....Nick found Nemo. He's right by his head.

That was Belle from "Beauty and the Beast." We attended a princess luncheon at Epcot.

Back at "Give Kids The World." Hanging out with Pluto, Goofy and Mary Poppins. We had a great trip!

Nick's addition

Nick wanted to add his piece of artwork to the blog for everyone to see. He says it is a map of the whole city.
